A very attractive early example of this page map accompanied by its description page from the 1850's Migeon atlas, La France et ses Colonies. Both are printed single sided and the map is very nicely hand colored. Text in French. Paper size: approximately 13.75 by 10.25 inches (35 by 26 cm), with roughness near margin where it was detached from binding; printed area is approximately 8.75 by 7 inches (22.25 by 17.75 cm), although this varies slightly from map to map. Margins are nice and wide which allows for a great deal of flexibility in framing and display. Page maps are undated, but the edition has been dated by the fold-out map in the rear, and by comparing demographic information against historical records. Condition: As with all the maps from this atlas, there is general aging to paper and some edge wear. Some spotting or age darkened spots to the margins. Small smudge to bottom margin.
